So You Think You Can Interrogate?!

The ever fun – filled Guy Called Bloke has created another challenge! This is one I’m going to love because it’s answering questions that don’t have right or wrong answers like when was the battle of Hastings and explain Hookes law! It’s also very long because as you probably already know, I Don’t Shut Up! You’ll learn a lot about me though – I suggest you stop right here.

I’m absolutely a devoted follower of Rory’s blog. It’s just like him, a glorious mash up of everything from the sublime to the ridiculous interspersed with some very thought provoking reads. You should absolutely give him a follow. He’s one of the bastion’s of our blogging society in my opinion. (No Edwina I said BASTION you deaf dingdong!)

So this is a twenty questions challenge. These are the questions I had to answer. The rules, my questions and the nominees I’ve picked are below my answers.

1] Your favourite colour? Sky blue pink with a white dot!

2] If you could have 1 super power what would it be? I’d like the Power of causing uncontrollable diarrhea. Imagine if Hitler had the uncontrollable squits at Nuremberg? If the kamikaze pilot at Pearl Harbor had to abort because he’d dropped his own bomb so to speak? If the swine who caused the planes to crash into the twin towers and the pentagon missed their flights because they were melting in the thunderbox? Never underestimate the power of well timed uncontrollable bowel movements!

3] Most embarrassing moment?! Oh dear God – I’m still CRINGING at this thirty years later!

4] What is the one thing you wish you were great at? Singing, I’d love to be able to sing.

5] Dinner with anyone in History who would it be? Winston Churchill. He was such an amazing man, I’d love to have a conversation with him.

6] List 3 things you would like to be remembered for? Kindness, Laughter and being a good mum

7] What do you think people misunderstand about you? Absolutely my sense of humor!

8] Your main strength? Resilience. When times are rough you just have to keep going. One step at a time. I’ve had enough bad things happen to know that whatever it is – it will end.

9] What passions do you have? I think fairness. I can’t and won’t tolerate bullying, racism, or any other persecutions.

10] Name 3 pieces of music you love? Right now I’m choosing Variations by Andrew and Julian Lloyd Webber. Anything by Queen. Anything by the Trans Siberian Orchestra just because they suit me right now.

11] 5 weird things you like? I don’t consider these weird but others do!

1 I will eat a whole jar of Branston pickle with a spoon in one go. I’ll do the same with jars of pickled onions and pickled beetroot.

2 Chunks of cheese, pineapple and banana peppers

3 Chip (French fry) sandwiches with thick butter. This horrifies Americans who don’t understand this British Institution.

4 Wendy’s french fries dipped in a chocolate frosty. A frosty is more like ice cream than a milk shake. This is divine. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.

5 Cold leftover Chinese food. Breakfast of champions.

12] How important is education? It’s imperative we fix a broken system because it is currently horribly flawed. Children aren’t being taught to think. To take information from various sources and dissemble to create their own opinions. They are being indoctrinated. Teachers are in a position where test scores are more important than actual education. Where ‘no child left behind’ means that no child gets to excel. Everyone is taught to the level of the lowest common denominator. These are dark times for education.

13] Your favourite childhood book? How do I pick one? There were so many. I loved books that were a bit different. Fattipuffs and Thinifers. Bottersnikes and Gumbles, Stig of The Dump. The Silver Sword. The Ship That Flew. Five Children and It. Enid Blyton. The School at The Chalet… need I go on?!

16] Your hidden talent? I don’t think I have one. Trivia maybe? I always surprise people with the stuff I actually know about!

17] An image that makes you happy? It has to be George – or cake but I’m going with George because honestly, cake without him sharing just doesn’t taste as good.

18] Bullet point your day so far.

Midnight – 2:30am ish: Watching My Cousin Vinny, surfing the net, drinking three 10oz glasses of Coke Zero and crunching ice cubes. Then making a big mug of coffee to put me to sleep (yes I know – caffeine makes me sleepy!)

8:07: Wake with four skewers in my back. On reflection they are Daisy’s (the Dachshund mix) feet.

Stagger, eyes still closed, muttering unintelligibly to the loo.

Bang knee on door.

If I’d opened my eyes I might have remembered to open the bloody door. If I had bigger boobs I’d have saved my knees.

Note to self: Eat More Cake

Get in the shower to de-stinkerate.

Sit on sofa with tablet and check emails, texts, fb ‘on this day’ and finally WordPress. Saving the best until last!

9:30: Call Insurance company for 77 years on hold listening to plinky Muzak to check on physiotherapy status.

9:45: Start losing the will to live.

10:25: Marvel at a less than one hour call with Nazi health insurance!

10:45: Phone call from the Amish Underground. They have strawberries for me. I start planning a shopping list for more jam jars, sugar, lemons and maybe raspberries.

11:00: Get dressed instead of sitting around in pjs because of going to see Amish.

11:15: Breakfast. Leftover taco meat, eggs and about a third of a large bottle of Chohula. Yes it’s an addiction. No I don’t want an intervention. I’m currently using two large bottles a week. When I start needing to buy three I’ll consider it a problem!

11:10 until 12:46: Laundry, unloading and reloading dish washer. Walking Daisy and starting this challenge.

12:46: Head to Amish-opolis.

13:30: Escape Amish by lying about Drs appointment. They love me and always want me to stay longer. Don’t trust them. They are nuts.

14:15: Go to UPS store to collect parcel for ‘I’m indoors. Sadly freaky dude is working. He really gives me the screaming abdabs. He has a thing for me. Friggin nutter. I should blog about him because if I’m ever murdered ‘el creepazoid’ is definitely a suspect.

14:45: Commence Vitamin D regime.

17:45: Hear ‘im indoors on drive. Pretend to be industriously watering tomatoes. Snigger at man’s gullibility.

18:30: Knock up a salad to go with chicken for dinner.

19:00 – 21:05 Practice speech for when I win Nobel Peace Prize for NOT murdering im indoors. If I have to watch one more episode of The Big Bang Theory for the 91st time – I WILL end him.

21:06: to now – watch NCIS and swoon over Gibbs while finishing this.

19] Place you would most like to holiday in? There are so many places in the world I am still longing to see. In the US I’d pick Antelope Canyon or the Painted Desert right now. If you ask me again in an hour I’d probably say Puget Sound and Mount Rushmore! Overseas hmm where first? China I think. I want to see those fairy mountains and stepped rice fields and the Great Wall amongst one hundred other things. Oh and Disneyland! But when the sprogs are back at school in September!

  1. Oh my God Britchy, you do my challenge proud!!! I was actually crying at the answers – thank you 🙂

Suze came flying in thinking the pain had hit me hard or my rotar cuff had dropped to my knees! Awesome answers 🙂

    Plus excellent two questions!

Ha ha, if Suze was reading this – she would probably agree with you about murdering an ‘im indoors’ only this morning she was saying, “I would have been let out on good behaviour by now!” This was as an answer to our 5th anniversary yesterday 🙂

      1. Hahahaha! No, you are way way better!!!! Besides, you are too strong and confident for that kind of silliness. If I lived anywhere near you, I’d have to have my weekly fix if hanging out with you hoping to pick up on your quick wit!

      1. Ooh! Yay! I no idea where you are in America, but am sure I will be back there one day to see the rest of the states. What a fine and tempting offer! 💜

      2. Isn’t north Carolina all hilly and pretty? I think I drove through a part of it once. It may have been South Carolina… It was a few years back 🙂 XD XD

      3. The west side has the Appalachian mountains and it’s stunningly beautiful especially in autumn when the leaves turn red and gold. While I detest winter, I love how summer goes out in a triumphant blaze of glory yelling “take that!” at winter! I’m planning a move to the middle so I’ll be a couple of hours to the mountains or the beach!

      4. That sounds perfect! I love the way you see the world, I adore the thought of summer going out in a triumphant blaze of glory. You have a unique and wonderful mind. I hope your mindset is fully appreciated by all you know.

  4. Best super power ever.
There was this comic, or fanvid or something of ‘the milkman’
He was a super hero who vomited milk and he grossed villains into submission.

Anyway… Ever hear of Jojos? They’re potato slices deep fried… And they’re amazing dipped in chocolate puddi g.

  5. I often visit your page and have noticed that you don’t update it often. More frequent updates will give your blog higher authority & rank in google.
I know that writing content takes a lot of time, but you can always help yourself with miftolo’s tools which will shorten the time of creating an article to a few seconds.

    1. Thank you for visiting! This hasn’t been my greatest month blogging, it’s been a tough month. I have been making lists of evil stories as I remember them so I shall get down to it 😊

  6. Loved you answers and specially the education one. I worry for my kids a little and wish for them to never get a ‘participation ribbon’. Current education system does not teach them how to lose graciously, dust themselves off and move on and I consider knowing how to lose one of the most important skills in life.
