I believe in the kingdom come Then all the colours will bleed into one – U2 ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’
I was nominated for this challenge by MissMWriter and I love it. It gives me a chance to share three quotes I love. One per day, and to nominate three people each day to also share quotes. I’m picking people who I’m very sure will pick quotes I can’t wait to read so check theirs out too!
Today’s quote has a little story to it. I was in the car with my mum and dad, on the way to my Aunts funeral. I was pretty upset, she had died a painful death from cancer on her 42nd birthday and I was devastated. The radio was playing in the background and this song came on.
I loved U2 but I don’t think this lyric had ever really registered with me before. It’s so simple, so beautiful – and so wrong. I do believe everyone will be equal in Heaven but I see no reason not to strive for heaven to be right here and now.
Man, woman, black, white, gay, straight, Arab, Christian – who cares? If we all wrote the same sentence on a piece of paper what could make you distinguish one person from another? We’re all just humans, we’re all one race, we’re all just trying to be happy. The sooner we get past all the other stupid stuff the sooner that will happen.
Be happy!!
Rules:
1. Thank the person who nominated you.
2. Post a quote for three consecutive days (1 quote for each day).
3. Nominate three bloggers each day.
