A Musical Advent Calendar!! (30 Day Song Challenge)

My Fandabbydozy pal, Kristian is taking part in a really fun challenge. As soon as I saw it I couldn’t resist joining in. It’s kind of like a Christmas Musical Advent Calendar but instead of a picture you follow the grid to pick a song per day.

I’m starting today by playing catch up but tomorrow onwards it’ll be just one song a day.

Day One

A song with a colour in the title – This was mine and Titselina Bumsqueak’s song. I can guarantee neither of us can hear it without thinking of the other.

Even now.

Red Red Wine by UB40

Day Two

A song with a number in the title – I love this song. It’s one of my ‘housework’ tunes

99 Red Balloons by Nena

Day Three

A song that reminds me of Summer – Road trips aren’t the same without this song and even if it’s ten foot of snow while I’m driving, I’m seeing Summer while I sing along.

Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker

Day Four

A song that reminds me of someone I’d rather forget – Farquhar Bastardcelot obviously. He decided this was ‘our’ song. Then he decided it was ‘their’ song for him and the woman he left me for. And the next one after that too according to the kids! Originality wasn’t his strong point. Faithfulness wasn’t either!

      1. Though, another problem with me doing it every day for a month is that that will take up quite a bit of my time trying to find a song to fit the requirement, and I wouldn’t have the same time to write novels and do other things in my life that I need to do.
        With regret, I must decline.
Seriously, I really wanted to do this, but I don’t have the time.

  1. Brilliant Britchy. I nearly posted 99 red balloons for the number one, then decided on 7 tears.
The fact your ex uses the same song everytime says volumes about him! Although you couldn’t have made his character plainer.

Glad you are playing along with this music game. 🙂
