I was nominated by the truly delightful Jo at The Creative PTSD Gal. to take part in 3,2,1 – Quote Me! again! I love her blog and her doodles, it’s a great read and some fabulous art I’d love on my walls.
The rules of this challenge are simple.
• Thank the Selector
• Post 2 quotes for the dedicated Topic of the Day.
• Select 3 bloggers to take part in ‘3.2.1 Quote Me!’
I love this challenge at any time but today, well today it got a little personal! Rory at A Guy Called Bloke took today’s theme from the title of a book I first read back in 1989/90.
The Power Of One by Bryce Courtenay.
I absolutely loved it then and over the years I must have had ten or more copies because I’ve loaned it to so many people! It’s an amazing life changing story that will make you laugh out load, sob buckets and it will change you forever. I consider it essential in my desert island library. They made a film of it too. Don’t watch it. It does a huge disservice to the book.
Today’s theme is ‘The Power Of One’ I’ve chosen two quotes from the book.
It seemed certain now that small could defeat big. All it took was brains and skills and heart and a perfect plan. – Bryce Courtenay, The Power of One
I have found in life that everything, no matter how bad, comes to an end. – Bryce Courtenay, The Power of One
The first kind of makes me laugh because it’s so childlike! Only an innocent can see things that simply and clearly. Not the size of the challenge, just how to complete it. It’s absolutely true, if you put your passion thought and planning into something, you truly can move mountains.
The second… I can’t tell you how many times in my life I’ve sat chanting ‘this will end, this will end’ over and over in my head. It’s a true comfort to know that no matter how awful something is right now, tomorrow the sun will rise on a new day and today will be history. I may have failed at today but tomorrow is mine for the taking.
I’m nominating:
Excellent quotes – the book was an inspiration to read and left a lasting impression on me also 🙂

I think you’ll love it, the style, written through the eyes of a child is very similar to “To Kill A Mocking Bird” which I also loved
